Some SRI indices are happy to publish their constituents to the wider market; others are not. The latter group believe that the work they put into determining the index constituents is proprietary.
In time, SRI-CONNECT hopes that all of the former group will load the constituents of their various indices into SRI-CONNECT. This will enable companies to see, with one click, which indices they are held within.
Whether the latter will load the constituents of their indices into the site depends on which aspect of the research process they regard as ‘proprietary’.
In the meantime, companies will only be able to determine whether they are listed within a given SRI index:
- From communications that are sent to them by the index provider (or research house)
- By contacting individual analysts from this list of Index providers, directly
